    Attend Harlem Ensemble Company's premiere of its original musical "Born to Sing"

    On August 29, 2009, the Harlem Ensemble Company will premiere its original musical production, "Born to Sing." The production will be presented at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Peter Norton Symphony Space.

    The Harlem Ensemble Company is a not-for-profit theatre company whose mission is "to nurture African American playwrights, and celebrate their rich legacy through the performance of their plays.?
    Born to Sing ponders death, the after-life, and the notion of continuing to love life after losing one of the most important people in your life. The book and lyrics were written by HEC founder, Evelyn Collins. The music was written by Gregg Payne.

    Performances are 2:00 PM and 7:30PM. The Leonard Nimoy Thalia at Peter Norton Symphony Space is located at 2537 Broadway at 95th Street, New York, NY 10025. General admission tickets can be purchased for $25.00 and are available either at the box office or online at www.symphonyspace.org. For more information call 212-864-5400.
