I'm the short, round brunette with either the big smile on my face or the dazed/confused/stressed look. I'll send you more info about what I'll be wearing when we get closer to the day of the event.

From 6-7:15 We'll enjoy dinner and conversation about the play at Fox and the Hound
Then we'll meet at the box office of the Country Play House by 7:40p.m. I suggest that you purchase your ticket beforehand. The stage area is small, and the seats are not assigned so we should be able to sit together.

Description of Play

At a time when plays were said to be the cause of plagues and actors were considered disreputable, Shakespeare's daughter Susanna heard many a sermon against Actors in the Stratford church. When the folio edition of his plays was printed in 1623, Susanna finally had proof that her father might not be a Devil worshipper after all. In this new play local playwright Diana Howie explores Susanna's feelings as she tries to sort out the truth of her father (and her family) for herself.

Description of Theatre
In 1981, The Country Playhouse found its latest and greatest home across the street from Town & Country Mall and remains there today.
Our Cerwinske Stage (named after charter members Herb & Alceste Cerwinske) holds a capacity crowd of 225 and our Black Box Lab theatre is host to many local playwrights looking for a venue for their scripts. The Playhouse holds adult and children?s acting classes under the professional eye of Barbara Lasater.

Description of Fox and Hound

We serve our guests an excellent variety of food and the best barbecue you can find anywhere. Whether it be hot & spicy chicken wings, a delicious choice sirloin, or anything in between, your nearest Fox and Hound® or Bailey?s has something that is just right for you. Spend an evening with your date sharing a bottle of Mondavi Coastal Merlot and enjoying marinated ribeye steaks; watch your team defeat their opponent as you enjoy our juicy, slow-smoked, fall-off-the bone baby back ribs with your favorite beer; or share a cocktail and appetizers for an after-work celebration.

Each of our restaurants features a full bar where you can choose from one of the largest selections of draught and bottle beers you will be able to find anywhere. We also feature a vast selection of spirits ? so you can enjoy your martini just the way you like it, whether you prefer it neat or dirty, sweet or dry, with Absolut or Stoli, or any other way. The management team at each restaurant is able to customize the selection of spirits and brews to local taste, so you can make Fox and Hound® or Bailey?s your favorite local pub. We also offer a selection of Robert Mondavi and other fine wines, as well as an assortment of fine cigars for your discriminating taste.

Enjoyed the outing. Good food and conversation at the Fox & Hound (and a great pint of Guinness) - then on to the last performance of "Susanna & Will" which provided some intriguing insights into William Shakespeare's personal life and an interesting display of thespian skills on a small stage.
    •  I enjoyed the group, the food, and the play! The playhouse was so small and cozy and you could reach out and touch the performers they were so close! I had a good time!
